Vitamin D in Eggs
Vitamin D plays an important role in the regulation and absorption of minerals such as calcium, magnesium and phosphate. This vitamin is also vital for boosting our immune systems and is known to facilitate the growth and development of bones and teeth, as well as improved resistance against various lifestyle diseases like diabetes. A lack of Vitamin D in the body could lead to soft and brittle bones, constant joint or back pain, muscle pain etc.
Even though sunlight is one of the best natural sources of vitamin D, most of us are bound indoors and don’t get enough exposure to sunlight. But, there are certain foods that are said to be rich in Vitamin D, such as egg yolk. The yolk may come with some extra calories and fat, but it also contains all the essential nutrients. You can prepare an omelette and ad some veggies to boost the flavour and nutritional value.
